It was a deal rumored to go down a few days ago, and now that a week has begun fresh, Intel and Infineon are officially tying the knot. Infineon isn't a name that's unheard of, but many in the consumer space are probably unaware of what kind of technology they build behind-the-scenes. They're probably best known for their memory endeavors, but Intel's more interested in their Wireless Solutions Business. Really interested, in fact. Interested enough to spend $1.4 billion in order to buy it, with the deal expected
